Ah, Betts was wearing the ninja suit underneath all along. I have to say I'm a little dissapointed in Psylocke's role in Utopia, she wasnt really needed with the X-Club, they could of done it without her, she could of been kicking butt with Logan's team, lets hope exodus will give Betsy some valuable butt kicking time, and hopefully she'll get a good role in Nation X, I mean she is on the cover with all the big leauges!!! Also do you think she'll be in X-Men vs Agents of Atlas???
( P.S I can't wait till her mini!!!)
I spoke too much.

Although she wasn't really needed with the X-Club, she does seem to be enjoying spending time with them, and they seem to like her as well. Sure, it would be awesome to see Betsy kicking some ass in this issue (although we already know she'll kick Dark Beast's ass in DA/UXM:Exodus), but it's nice to see her using her brains (and I don't mean in terms of telepathy or telekinesis) instead of her fighting skills for a change.

Only two pages, but I guess that was expected. The sad thing, I guess, is that she sticked with the ninja bathing suit in the end... oh well, I'd prefer Psylocke wearing something less revealing for a change, but if she prefers the buttfloss and if she feels comfortable in it, more power to her. Just remember to stick a "X" button somewhere in your suit, Betts, or Cyclops may forget you're part of his team with the huge number of current X-Men...

Yes, the "buttfloss" Bets costume as it is "affectionately" called, is Psylocke's iconic uniform. Marvel seems to want it this way, and many of her fans know her primarily from this costume. I have never had a problem with it at all, but it may need an upgrade of sorts.

@Fsaker. Hi. I agree that as long as Bets has an X on the "buttfloss" uniform, and she feels comfortable in it, I don't have any problem at all. I am starting to think that Bets would look good in an X-Force uniform, similar to the one X-23 currently wears. X-23 and Psylocke bonded well in the past, so who knows... I could see an even stronger relationship building between them in X-Force, and Bets using her experience and telepathy to help X-23 keep her wanton rage in check. I don't even think there is a telepath on X-Force. Hmmmm... a team vacancy... I guess Betsy is still getting her feet wet and becoming grounded now that she is back in 616. Anyway, looking forward to seeing if she gets some kind of significant role in Nation X.

@Psychilde - I can't wait for the mini either. Only a couple of months :) The anticipation is mounting.

I love Vanisher but I must say Illyana would be a great addition to the X-force team with her demonic persona. Shes wasted in that crappy New Mutants book, Cannonball, Sunspot and Magma are as dull as dishwater.

Still voting for Danger in X-force though, think she would be a 100% fit.

LOL they gave her the little slanted Chinky eyes (I'm Asian so I can say that). How was she wearing her slut thong outfit when the wetsuit had cleavage and nothing was underneath the first time she wore it.

If they were just going to stick her on the nerd squad and make her a telepath they should have just kept her British and not ninja.

Also, it's not her being comfortable in it. It's shit writers and artists who can't come up with better ideas. You all do realize that every single X-man besides Psylocke has had multiple costume changes frequently. She's the only one on the team who currently has the same damn outfit that she's had for more than 15 years. So bored of this version of Psylocke. I don't care if she's Asian, but change something up physically, please!

I'm so bored with her like that. If there's a girl with purple hair it's easily recognizable as Psylocke. There's no need to keep her in the same outfit or body even. Purple hair = Psylocke. Stop being afraid of change. It's not like the ninja version is raking in cash or anything. She's not Wolverine. She should be allowed to change.

No.

@Amy Whiner - Yes, I'm forced to concede that you are correct: Psylocke can be defined by her purple hair and/or her psyblade rather than just the Hand uniform. There isn't anything wrong with the Hand uniform, imho. It could use an upgrade, though. Writers and artists could devise a new outfit, but I think you correctly alluded to the nature of the problem. I don't think they seem to have a concept for a new Psylocke outfit that would have a similar impact to that of Jim Lee's in the early 1990s. My concern is Betsy's character development more than her aesthetics.

Look at ALL the X-men costumes for the most part they are all throw backs to their most popular outfits, Betsy is no different.

I think her outfit is fine look at Wonder Women or Ms. Marvel they got the "bathing suit" outfit yes maybe it can have an x or maybe some yellow strips or something but at least she is not stuck n z-list land no more.

I agree, Centurion, Psylocke and X-23 need to work together more often now!! Although I'm not sure if they should team up in X-Force, Uncanny or another title, but yes, that team-up has got to happen!

@ Anonymous 11:54AM, I think the problem is that, as you said, the other X-Men's costumes are THROW BACKS to their most popular ones; Betsy's IS her most popular one, from one decade ago. I wouldn't mind her wearing a blue bathing suit with a magenta sash if it at least got some minor update (like if the drawers made the tissue look like rubber instead of lycra, just like they do with the uniforms of the other X-Men... oh, and if she got a damn "X" button in her chest or something like that). So far, the only thing that makes her "current" uniform different from the 90s one is that she no longer has a "X" symbol in her sash (yup, her 90s outfit was actually more meaningful to represent her as a member of the X-Men than her current one is)...

I think the X-treme version should be combined with the classic, thats if we HAVE to change. The animated series costume was really nice too. Love the classic when its drawn correctly, long sash, asymmetrical leg straps etc
