Top Teams of 2010

Marvel.com: With 2011 upon us, Marvel.com now takes this time to recognize the super groups that excelled in 2010 with our Top Teams list, selected by our very own Secret Cabal. Enjoy and let us know who you think deserved recognition!

10. The Secret Avengers

09. The Young Avengers

08. The Thunderbolts

07. The Secret Warriors

06. Uncanny X-Force

2010 Roster: Archangel, Wolverine, Deadpool, Fantomex, Psylocke

Year in Review:
The last incarnation of X-Force came to an end following the back-to-back campaigns of Necrosha and Second Coming, but Wolverine and Archangel felt the X-Men still needed a group willing to go where the main team could not, whether Cyclops approved or not. This new top secret squad has only just formed, but should they survive their first encounter with a revived Apocalypse and his latest Horsemen, they should prove a force to be reckoned with.

05. The Guardians of the Galaxy

04. The New Avengers

03. The Fantastic Four

02. The X-Men

2010 Roster:
Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Magneto, Psylocke, Dazzler, Gambit, Emma Frost, Northstar, Pixie, Namor

Year in Review:
The X-Men saw triumph and tragedy in the wake the so-called “mutant messiah,” Hope Summers, returning to the present day. While Nightcrawler and Cable both fell protecting Utopia from Bastion, the team managed to turn the tide and the young “savior” unleashed her power, beating back the bad guys and also reigniting new mutant births across the globe. Cyclops and company also fended off a vampire invasion of San Francisco and stopped Selene’s undead mutant army.

01. The Avengers

Weird list. I wonder what were the criteria to elaborate it.

Uncanny X-Force deserved to be much higher. It's cool that it entered the list nevertheless, but it's an EPIC team! The X-Men as a team weren't really spectacular last year (unless we're considering quantity of challenges faced; in that case, Necrosha and Second Coming happening consecutively may have factored into it).

And New Avengers? I really like Cap Bucky's main team (the one with Romita's art), it deserved the #1 spot as their first arc was epic and the second one seems to be following the same way. But Luke Cage's New Avengers are just boring... I love Ms. Marvel, I love Victoria Hand, but even they can't save this title from the boredom it is. It should change places with Secret Avengers in this list.

Just like UXF should change places with the X-Men.

But opinions aside, we have reasons to celebrate, right? Psylocke is in not only one, but TWO of the 2010 Top 10 Teams!! Yay!!

(what makes me notice: Wolverine is in FOUR of the Top 10 teams... geez, how can he be in so many teams at the same time?? And he still has his solo adventures...)

considering this is quite a recent team the 6th position is not half bad...i agree it's better than some of the higher scores but people still have to get used to and love them
